R91 OFFICIAL CITY RESOLUTION NO. 91 SECRETARY'S COPY A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS, APPOINTING THE MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the workload of the Kennedale Municipal Court is not large enough to support a full time Municipal Court Judge; and WHEREAS, it is of great benefit to the City of Kennedale to have an experienced municipal court judge sit on the bench of the municipal court of the City of Kennedale; and WHEREAS, Section 574.001, Texas Government Code provides that a person may hold the office of municipal court judge for more than one municipality at the same time if each office is filled by appointment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS; SECTION 1. THAT, the City Council hereby finds that the office of municipal court judge of the City of Kennedale is of benefit to the State of Texas and to the City of Kennedale and that there is not conflict between the office of municipal court judge of the City of Kennedale and the office of municipal judge in any other city. SECTION 2. THAT, in accordance with Section 9.03 of the Kennedale City Charter, Donald Lee is hereby appointed as the judge of the Municipal Court for a two -year term beginning April 8, 1999. c:\ citysec \council\reso\muncrtjudg(3 /22/99) 1 SECTION 3. THAT, the City Manager is directed to make a record of any compensation Donald Lee is to receive from holding the office of municipal judge of the City of Kennedale including salary, and any bonus of per diem payments.
