In addition to conduct- ing a regular monthly pack meeting, School Night is designed to familiar- ize those who are considering joining the pack with the Boy Scount organi- zation, uniforms, and costs of being a Scout. Those new to Scouting were organ- ized into groups according to age, so as to encourage communication and cohesiveness between the parents of the boys who will pass through scout- ing experiences together. The well- attended pack meeting resulted in several boys joining the pack and idenifying several parents who indi- cated a willingness to help or become leaders. Refreshments of fresh cobbler, pre- pared over an open fare by the scouts in Pack 35 and their leaders, Dave Ar- nold and Jim Tripp, were served fol- lowing the formal meeting. Den 1, the Bears, are led by Mike Sheffler and assistant Charlene Dykes. Some members of Den 4, the Bob- cats, led by Patt Klemmer and assis- tant Maureen Greenwood, received awards. Brett Klemmer received a Texas Badge, Basketball belt loop, Swimming belt loop, Soccer belt loop, Volleyball belt loop, and Baseball belt loop. Andrew Greenwood received a Texas Badge, Basketball belt loop, and Baseball belt loop. Patt Klemmer and Maurine Greenwood also earned their Texas Badges along with the boys.
