This notice concerns 1989 property tax rates for City o f Kenne
three tax rates. Last year's tax rate is the actual rate the taxing unit used to determine property taxes last This
year's effective tax rate would impose the same total taxes as last year if you compare properties taxed in both years.
This year's rollback tax rate is the highest tax rate the taxing unit can set before taxpayers can start tax rollback
procedures. In each case these rates are found by dividing the total amount of taxes by the tax base (the total value of
taxable property) with adjustments as required by state law. The rates are given per $100 of property value.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OWTAX INCREASE
.i -
Y
The ( City. of Kennedale ) will hold a public hearing on a proposal to increase total tax
revenues from properties on the tax roll in ( 1988 ) by (
8. ) percent. Your individual taxes may
increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the change in the taxable
value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property.
The public hearing will be held on 9/14/89 7:30 at 100 E. Broadway
Community Center, Kennedale, Texas.
FOR the proposa : Bill Abbott, Pete Kirkpatrick, Robert
AGAINST the proposal Mundy Mark Wright
PRESENT and not voting:
ABSENT: Jerry Mitchell
A
The statement above shows the percentage increase the proposed rate represents over the
( effective ) tax rate that the unit published on ( August 17., 1989
). The following table compares taxes on an average home in this taxing
unit last year to taxes proposed on the average home this year. Again, your individual taxes may
be higher or lower, depending on the taxable value of your property.
Last Year This Year
Average home value

General exemptions available

home, not including senior
citizen's or disabled person's
exemptions)

Under this proposal taxes on the average home would ( increase )
by $ ( 31.64 ) or
( 15..92% ) percent compared
with last year's takes.
Comparing tax rates without adjusting for changes in property value,
the tax rate would ( increase ) by $ ( 23.29
} per SIN of taxable value or
11.7% ) percent compared to last year's tax
rate. These tax rate figures are not adjusted for changes in the taxable value
of property.
