O89-16CITY OF KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 89 -16 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX RATE FOR THE CITY OF KENNEDALE FOR THE TAX YEAR 1989. BE IT, THEREFORE, ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: We, the City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, do hereby levy or adopt the tax rate on $100.00 valuation for this city for tax year 1989 as follows: $0.3270 for the purpose of maintenance and operation $0.0305 for the purpose of interest and sinking on bonds $0.3575 total tax rate The tax assessor - collector is hereby authorized to assess and collect the taxes of the City of Kennedale employing the above tax rate. The above ordinance and order was unanimously passed by the City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas this the 25th day of September, 1989. The Board also briefly discussed total enrollment in the district. Dr. Joe Bean, superintendent of schools, said enrollment was down from last year, but he expected an increase after Labor Day. The total enrollment for this year is now 3,083 he said. Also attending were Billie Lee Dickinson and family of Dawson, Kenneth and Michelle Pritchett of Lubbock, Marie Stone of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Thurman of Everman, and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Green and family of Cleburne. The largest family went to Louis Dickinson of Lubbock. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Edward of Fort Val- ley, Georgia, traveled the longest dis- tance. Entertainment included music by Lois and Bill Peters of Temple Ridley Dickinson of Temple, and Billie Dick- inson of Dawson.
