O026 CITY OF KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 26 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1990 EDITION; AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE KENNEDALE CITY CODE 1991; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION, PENALTY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. The Kennedale City Code, 1991, is hereby amended as follows: Section 4 -47. Adoption of Code. Change "1987" to read "1990 ". Section 4 -49. Amendments, additions, deletions: (2) Delete. (3) Delete. (4) Delete. (5) Delete. (6) Change "residence" to "residential ". (7) Change "1988" to "1991' and add "Permit fees will be as set by the City Council from time to time ". (8)(a) Change "1987" to "1990 ". (b) Delete paragraph (a), and replace with: "210 -4. Multiwire Branch Circuits. ", and add "For existing installations, this applies only to new circuits, extensions, or alterations." (c) Paragraph (b), add "(7.62m7'. (d) Add "(c) Section 300 -4. Protection Against Physical Damage. (d), line seven, after "equivalent ", add "at each support location ", and after the last sentance, add, "This measurement requirement is from the exposed edge only." (e) Add: Section 310 -15. Ampacity. Notes to Ampacity Tables of 0 to 2000 Volts. (1) Paragraph 3, delete "120/240 Volts," in heading and add "120/208 Volt or" before "120/240 Volt, 3 wire, single phase" on line two. (2) Paragraph 8. (Notes to table). add before first paragraph, "Column A is applied when only z of the conductors are energized at the same time. Column B is utilized when all conductors carry full load at the same time." (f) Add: "Section 685 -1. Scope. add, "or loss of data" after last word in sub - paragraph (1)." Section 4 -50. Delete in entirety and Reserve. Section 4 -51. Delete in entirety and replace with "Violations. Any person, firm, or corporation violating or causing the violation of any provision of this code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any amount not to exceed $2,000 for each offense hereunder. Each separate day or portion thereof that any violation of this code occurs or continues shall be deemed to constitute a distinct and separate offense." Section 2. This oridnance is hereby directed to be published as required by law and shall be effective from and after said publication. A 125 - volt, single- phase, 15- or 20- ampere -rated receptacle outlet shall be installed at an accessible location for the servicing of heating, air - conditioning, and refrigeration equipment on rooftops and in attics and crawl spaces. The receptacle shall be located on the same level and within 7 25 feet (22:136 7:62 m) of the heating, air - conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. The receptacle outlet shall n be connected to the load side of the equipment disconnecting means.
