A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING EARTH HOUR DAY IN KENNF,DALE,
TEXAS ON MARCH 28, 2009.
WHEREAS, Earth Hour is a world-wide effort to reduce energy consumption; and
WHEREAS, in 2008 Earth Hour had more than 50 million participants in 35 countries across 18
time zones; and
WHEREAS, Earth Hour's 2009 goal is to reach one billion people in 1000 cities worldwide, and
WHEREAS, this recommendation to participate in Earth Hour is being brought by the
KennedaleYouth Advisory Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Kennedale,
Texas that the City shall participate in F,arth Hour and all Kennedale Citizens are encourage to
turn off their lights at 8:30PM on Saturday March 28, 2009.
