KENNEDALE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
BOARD OF DIItECTORS
REGULAR MEETING -JANUARY 20, 2004

CONFERENCE ROOM
President Vaughn called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Members present: President Vaughn, Munn, Farmer, and Hayes. Morris arrived at 7:04 p.m., and
Vice-President Mundy arrived at 7:12 p.m.
Members absent: Berry
Staff present: Margaret Eichelberger, EDC Director.
A. REGULAR ITEMS
1. Approval of minutes: regular meeting dated December 16, 2003.
Bill Munn moved to approve the minutes as submitted, second by Beverly Hayes.
Motion carried.
2. Review of financial reports.
Board members briefly reviewed the financial reports with a request for an explanation
W.r for other assets and liabilities on the Available Funds report.
Margaret Eichelberger requested that board members email questions in advance so that
answers could be provided at the meeting.
3. Presentation by Callahan & Associates regarding entrance to City on Little School Rd.
Frank Callahan and Chuck Freeman representing Callahan & Associates presented the
board with pictures showing various sign designs in order to receive input for the
development of a monument sign for Kennedale.
Callahan & Associates will make another presentation before the Board that will include
monument design layouts, cost estimates, bids from various engineers, and landscaping
designs.
4. Consider approval for visual grant requested by R.E. Watson & Associates.
Bill Munn moved to award visual grant to R.E. Watson & Associates in the amount of
$1,762.92, second by Robert Mundy. Motion carried with all members voting in favor.
It was recommended that a list be prepared showing a history of what items had been
approved in all grants.
