A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KENNEDALE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING FUNDING PARTICIPATION
WITH TARRANT COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND
HOUSING FOR THE 30`h YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT PROJECT FOR OAK CREST ADDITION WATER
LINE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in the City Council Meeting of January 13, 2005, the City Council of the
City of Kennedale approved the 30"' Year Community Development Block Grant Project
(CDBG) for Water Line Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the budget for the project approved on January 13, 2005 reflects CDBG
Construction Funds in an amount of $102,001.00 and City of Kennedale Funds in an amount of
$66,882.00; and
WHEREAS, the construction contract for this project totals $130,365.00; and
WHEREAS, the City funds approved in the budget will be utilized for project costs in
excess of the CDBG funds available for the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble of this resolution are true and correct
and are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Kennedale accepts the low bid of Ragan
Excavation in the amount of $130,365.00 with a 60 calendar day construction timeline and
request that Tarrant County award the Contract to Ragan Excavation for Oak Crest Addition
Water Line Improvements CDBG construction project.
Section 3. That the City Council of the City of Kennedale approves funding participation
for the Oak Crest Water Line Improvements CDBG construction project in the amount not to
exceed $66,882.00, consistent with the project budget approved on September 9, 2004.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective upon its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KENNEDALE, TEXAS on this 13 day of January 2005.
