The meeting was duly called to order rat 8:20 P.M. b;;, the ~ti%layor, Upon a roll call of aldermen, all members of the city council ans~;ered present save and except Alderman i~2iddleten ~vho was absent. The city secret~:ry was asked to read the minutes of the previous meeting, to-~vit: the meeting of iviay 6, 1950. Upon completion of the reading of the minutes of the s«id meeting of Ilay 6, 1950, there being no objections or ommissions noted to the same they were procl~~i~led by the P~iayor to stand approved as read. 2. Rev. E. 0. Dewald, chairman of the auditing corzuittee to audit the books 'and bank deposits of the Village of Kennedale, Texas, in compli~mce ti~aith motion nuruber 5 and 6 of the minutes of the meeting of IJIay 6, 1950, reported that the boaks and . bank deposits of the Village of Kennedale had been fully audited by the auditing conm~ittee and su~ni..tted a tirritten report in connection there~rzth. Alderman Evens thereupon made a motion that the written report of the auditing co~nittee be accepted and approved. The motion wus duly seconded by Alderman Minters and upon vote the same unanimously passed. 3. The auditing com7,~ittee having; :~].so submitted certain recommendations in addition to the financial report rendered, Alderman ~vuns made a motion that these recor.nnendations be accepted with appreciation ind filed for proper consider- ation and ths.t the auditing committee be cormnended for its work and disruissed. v Alderman Winters duly seconded the motion~:nd upon vote the surue un~.,nimously passed. 4. Mayor Webb and other aldermen reported that they hid received various and several bids from automobile dealers for the purchase of one automobile by the Village of i~ennedale to be used for law enforcing and other municipal p~~rposes in accordance r~ith motion 14 of the minutes of vay 6, 1950. The various bids submitted for the sale of the said autor~wbile h~_vin~ been duly considered and discussed by 4~ the city council, it was moved by Alderman Evans that the Village of Kennedale purchase a Ford Stsndard tudor automobile from Frank Kent PY:otor Cors~o~ny of Fort ~`dorth, Texas, at a price of app roximatelyµ1~9~.00. Alderman printers duly seconded the motion and the same passed by unanimous vote. 5. Alderman Turner made a motion that extended coverage and X5,000.00 and ~10~000.00 public liability and public dsrnages insur: nce on the said automo- vile be obtained i~nedi'ately:4upQn the purchase of the same. Alderman minters duly seconded the motion and the same passed by unanimous vote. 6. Alderman lui~er made a z:lotion that the County ~ngi.neering Depart- went of `Tarrant County be authorized to spray the pillage of Kennedale with in- secticide and that the pillage of Kennedale appropriate and pay the suxn of ap- proximately :50.00 to cover the costs of the said insecticide. Alderman Evans duly seconded the motion and the same passed by unanimous vote. 7. Alderman Turner mode a motion that yrs. A. S. Flake be appointed tag assessor-collector of the Village of Kennedale, Texas. Alderman Evans duly seconded the motion and the same passed by unanimous vote. 8. A1dernan Evans made a motion Lout yrs. A. S. Flakes secretary- treasurer of the Village of Kennedale, open ~ deposit account with the Mansfield State Bank of Mansfield, Texas, in the anme of the V"illage of Kennedale, Texas, and th:_t all monies and funds received by the s4id Village be deposited in said account and that monies be withdrawn from said account only on checks signed in the name of the Village of Kennedale~ Texas, by sirs. A. S. Flake, secretary- treasurer of the said city, and that a cot,y of this resolution be submitted by the secretary treasurer to the said bank. The motion was duly seconded by A1der- roan 'ddinters and the same passed b;~r unanimous vote. 9. The follotitiing bills,:~t~rere submitted to the city council for payments 1. David Foster :A0.00 4. Alderman Winters duly seconded the motion and the same passed by unanimous 40te. 10. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:30 P. M. That the Yiansfield State Bank of Mansfield, Texas, be and the same is hereby designated as the depository for any and all funds and monies belonging to the Village of Kennedale, Tarrant County, Texas. 2. That Mrs. A. S.
