The meeting was duly called to order at &:00 P. TAI. b~ the Tfayor. Upon a roll call of Councilmen, Councilman Evans, Flake, ?Morriss, Turner, ~~rinters and T•~a~Tcr a~rebb were present; no councilmen were absent. The city secretary was asked to read the minutes of the previous meeting, to-wit, the meeting of iTovember ', 1951. Upon completion of, the reac.ing of the minutes of the said previous r~reeting, there being no objections an omissions noted to the same, the said minutes were proclaimed to stand approved as read. 2. T-x. J. rl. Tracy of the J. ~. Tracy fppraisal Company was p~ eser_t and re- ported to the council that his company had completed a ta« appraisal of ~?1 resl and personal property situated in the city of Kennedale, Texas, assigned to the said purposes. Councilman Flake duly moved that the ta:~ appraisal reports of the said J. ~~. Tracy Company be accepted and filed by the ta~_ assessor-collector of the City of TCennedale, Texas as the tax assessment to be placed on the property to which the same related for the year 1951. Councilman Evans duly seconded the motion and upon vote taken the same was unatu.mousl„v passed. 3. Councilman T~iorris presented his resignation as a member of the City Council to the secretary and requested that the same be accepted, e.~plain,in, his reason for such request to be because of lack of time to fulfill the office. Councilman Turner duly moved that the resignation be accepted. Councilman Gdinters duly seconded the motion and upon vote taken the same was unanimously passed. ~.. Councilman Evans duly moved that J. E. Harper be appointed council~~an to fulfill the office vacated by councilman T~iorris. Councilman Turner duly seconded the motion and upon vote taken the same was unanimously passed. 5. The Honorable J. E. Harper was adrnini~~trated the oath of office by the T~iayor. b.
