MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF I~tA~DALE, TEXAS,
ON MAY 4, 1951
1. The meeti,r:g xas duly called to order at $:00 P. M. by the Mayor.
Upon a roll call of,eouneilmen, Councilmen Evans, Winters, Turner and Morris
and Mayor Webb xere present; Councilman Middleton xas absent; the City secretary
xas asked to read the minutes of the previous meeting, to-xit, the regular
meeting of April 6, 1951. Upon the completionof the reading of the minutes of
said regular meeting of April 6, 1951, there being no ob3ections or omissions
noted to the same, the said minutes xere proclaimed to stand approved as read.
2. Mr. S. F. Wine of the Texas Electric Service Campa~r xas present
at the said council meeting. Mr. Wine subo4itted an application for and in be-
half of the Texas Electric Service Company of a rate increase in electrical
charges for services furnished by said Company xithin the limits of the City
of Kennedale. Mr. Wine submitted ~ctensive information and statistics on behalf
of theTf~cas Electric Service Compat~ in support of the co~mpar~y~ s application for
rate increase and shoxing the necessity therefor in order for said company to
- realize a reasonable profit upon its investment and to encourage expansion by
the said Company. After the application xas thorough7~• discussed, a motion xas
duly made by Counci]mari Turner and seconded by Councilman Winters and passed by
unan3~ous vote that the folloxing resolution be adopted, to-zits
R E S O L U T I O N
RESOLVED b9 the City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas,
that the Rate Schedules of Texas Electric Service Com~par~y
filed xith the City Secretary on the 4th day of May, 1951,
be and the same are hereby approved.
PASSES AND EPPROVED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Kennedale, Texas, this the 4th der of May,
1951.

3. A motion was duly made by Councilman Evans and seconded by
Councilman Tnrner that the sum of X1200.00 heretofore received from the
Commissioners Court of Tarrant County, Texas, to a3.d and assist Kennedale
in fire protections and fire prevention measures be pgi.d over and delivered
to the Kennedsle Volunteer Fire Departme~. Upon vote taken a motion was
unar~iaaously passed by all councilman present.
4. Upon motion du],y made, seconded and carried the meeting
adjourned at 9:45 P. M.
