1. The meeting ~. as duly called to order at ~:p.m. by the I'~ayor

be a regular meeting for the rvey~ose of closin~~ out the rernaining
business of tl:e old Council and to canvass the election returns and
to s~.vear in tl~e newly elected Cour.cilraen, and ~~ nuorom was declared
~~resent .
2. P:inutes of the r~~ eting of the City Council on r~pril 3, 1953
~A~ere read and duly ar~?.roved.
3. The returns of tYie Election held on l~1 ri1 7, 1953 for the
election of C`ouncilrr~an to ~~,lace 3, place % and place 5 of the City
Council of the City of 1ier~nedale were duly cGrly~°ssed. The returns
as canvr:~ssed shop.-ed that Virgil Turpin received a majority vote to

a majority vote to place 5.
