THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF KENNL°DALE, TEXAS ON
JANUARY !~, 19 5 3
1. The meeting was duly called to order at 8:pm by the Mayor.
Upon a roll call of the members of the Council, Council Davis, Foust,
Turpin, bulin, Winters and lylayor Webb were present. No Councilman
was absent.
2. Councilman Foust duly made a motion that payment be stopped upon a
certain check dated J'a~p 2, 1953, payable to the order of C.F. Bedford
and drawn on the "~ansfield State Bank of ''M'ansfield, Texas, for the reason
that the check was fraudently obtained. Councilman 1PJinters duly seconded
the Motion and upon vote taken the same was unanimously passed.
3. Councilman Turpin duly moved that Ordinance Number 18 Prohibiting
the shooting of firearms in the City be adopted. Councilman V~'inters
duly seconded the motion was upon vote taken the same unanimously
passed.
k. Councilman Bulin duly made a motion that an office of Policeman
of and for the City of Kennedale be created as of this date.
Councilman Davis duly seconded the Motion and upon vote taken the same
way unanimously passed.
5. Councilman Bulin duly made a motion the Harold Joseph Rankey be
appointed policeman of and for the City of Kennedale, Texas. Council-
man Davis duly seconded the mtition and upon vote taken the same was
unanimously passed.
6. The oath of office was administered to Harold Joseph Rankey and he
assumed the duties of the office of Policeman of and for the City of
Kennedale, Texas.
