08.02.1957 CC Minutes1 ~ O REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL, AUGUST 2, 1957
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor, N.T. Childres after a roll
call of the Council the following members were found to be present. Councilmen
Cunningham Bulin, Radakavich and Mrs. Ward. Councilman Davis was absent.
August 23 was set as a date for the Council to sit as a Board of Equalization
for the purpose of valuating taxable properties which have been annexed before
January 1957.
Inasmuch as there hairs been numerous complaints from residents who reside
near a wrecking yard which is at the present time being operated by one L. Smith
the City Attorney was asked to notify Mr. Smith thatb~ of old cars was creating a
a nuisance and must be stopped immediately.
Councilman Radakgdrich made a motion that an Ordnance be passed prohibiting
the burning of old cars mmt or any junk or ar~ything of a nature that is obnoxious
to-the residents of xennedale. Bulin seconded the motion and upon vote taken the
same was passed unanimoulsy by[ all members.
Councilman Radkaavich requested the city Seeftetary to write a letter stating
that city water is now and will continue to be available in Turners Acres.
