REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem, Steve Radakovich
in the absence of Mayor Childres. After a roll call of the Council the
following members were found to be present; Councilmen Cunningham, Radakovich
and Mrs. Ward.
Mrs. Ward made a motion that a fee of $2.00 be charged for reconnection
of water meters when the water has been discontinued because of non payment
of water bills. Councilman Radakovich seconded the motion and upon vote taken
the same was passed unanim~u~~y.
The State Highway has asked for permission to set posts on the
embankment near Village Creek as a safety measure to prevent accidents
on highway 287. Councilman Cunningham made a motion to instruct the
State highway to go ahead with the project and asked the City Secretary
to write a letter to the Highway Department confirming same. Mrs. Ward
seconded the motion and upon vote taken the same was passed unanimously.
Mrs. Ward made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 58-1 relative to the
holding of the City Election on April 1st, 1958 when two councilmen are
to be elected for a two year term and one eougcilman for a one .ear term to
fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Tommy A Bulin and the
office of Mayor for a two year term. Councilman Cunningham seconded the
motion and upon vote taken the same was passed unanimously.
W.R. Turner was appointed to act as Judge in the coming election
Mrs. Ida Flake Assistant Judge, Mrs. Elvira Warren and Mrs. L.V. Flake
to act a s clerks at said electioh.
Mrs. Ward made a motion to ~lss Ordinance No. 57-8 pertaining to
the garbage disposal. Councilman 8unningham seconded the motion and upon vote
taken the same was passed unanimously.
Mrs. Ward made a motion to publish a caption of the above Ordinance
No. 57-8 in the Mansfield News, Cunningham seconded the motion and upon
