04.03.1959 CC Minutes PECIAL Mr;ETING OF THE KENNEDALE; CITY COUNCIL MARCH 21, 1959 The meeting was called of order by the Mayor ~7~8eeB. After a roll call of the Council the following members were present: Councilmen Ralitf, Cunningham, Harper and Radakovich, Davis was absent. Councilman Harper made a motion to adopt Resolution No.59-5 relative to the canvassing of the returns on the Bond election which was held on Niar 21, 1959. Bouncilman Radakovich seconded the motion and apon vote taken the same Baas passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned a t 8:30 PM. APPROPED : ~ ~ ~ ~ «:~G~Lc /' ~ • /~ ATTEST 1~( C C T REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL APRIL 3, 1959 The meeting was called to orderby Mayor Yrotem Ratliff in the absence of Mayor Childres. After a roll call of the Council the following members were found to be present. Councilman Davis, Radakovich, R arper and Cunningham, no members were absent. Notion was made by Councilman Radakovich to increase the retained fee of t the Bell Communication Service X7.50. This to maintain the receiver on the 260 frequency. Rapper seconded the motion and upon vote taken the s ame~as passed unasimousl3r. Mr. L.A. Broom presented a petition for annexation of the Andrews Oaks Additon. Motion was made by Radakovich NOT to annex the area unless Lots 1 through 8 were included and the approval of the owners was obtained. Harper seconded the motion and upon vote taken the same w as passed unanimously. Councilman Radakovich made a motion to pass Oridnance No. 59-2 relative to the annexatiob of part of the Oliser Acres addition. Councilman Davis 2~ 19 seconded the motion and upon vote taken the same was passed unanimously. Thereupon The OliYer Acres additon became an igbegra~l part of the City of ~ennedale CONTINEIIED L~~r~' Councilman Davis made a motion to adopt Resolution No 59- as follows: on/ Resolved that the reimbursem~nbn the James A Arthur contract period begin on March 16, 1959 when the first meter was set and service~as extended to R.W. McDonald. Councilman Harper seconded the motion wad upon vote taken the same was passed unanimoulsy byall members presef~t. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM. After a roll call of the Council the following members were found to be present. Councilman, Cunningham, Harper and Ratliff, Councilmen Radakovich and Davis were absent. Motion was made by Cunningham te:~adopt Resolution No. 59-6 relative to canvassing the votes og the recent election on ~ipr~c 21. Motion was seconded by Harper and upon vote takent the same wis passed unanimoulsy. Whereopon at this time, the present Council members adjourned and the newly elected members were sworn in by the city secretary. The new members are as follows: A.L. BULIN, JOHDT HAMMACK, J.W. RATLIFF. Mr. L.A. Brown who had previously asked the Council to annex his property known as Andrews Oaks but had only included a sma]_1 part of the additon again requested the entire area be annexed, jhe Council agreed to annex the entire area or none at all and this Mr. Brown agreed upon and the City Attorney '''r. l°~a.rshall was instructed to go ahead with the annexation Oridnance.
