09.05.1959 CC Minutes2 l t~ REGULAR MEETING OF THE KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 5, 1959 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Childres. After a roll call of the council the following members were found to be present. Councilmen: Bulin, Hammack, Radakovich and Ratliff. ~'ouncilma.n Harper was absent. The minutes of the last meeting were read and corrected, the City sec- retary having failed to record the motion made by Councilman Harper to retain the firm of Brud Smith of Dallas, Texas to set up a bookkeeping system to be used by the water department and to engage this Accounting firm to audit the water works system once each year. Mr. Bigler who resides .in Oliver Acres was present and asked what possibility there was of getting water lines laid to that Area. He was advised the City is not in a financial position to lay lines a t the present times The Council agrees to have Water Supt Webb figure the cost and if `~~. Bigler desired to do so he might finance the project. Mr. Lee Housley and Mr. Foreman also mm¢ inquired about laying water lines to their property on the Kennedale-Little School Road and they were advised that it could not be done at this time. Councilman Radakovich made a motion to change the date of the meeting night for the council to the First 3'hursday. Hammack seconded the motion and upon vote taken the same was passed unanimously. Councilman Ratliff made a motion to install four stop-signs at the New Hope Road and Broadway intersection. Bulin seconded the motion and upon vote taken the same was passed unanimously by all members present. The meeting adjourned at 10:30 PM. APPROVED ~ L~C~~-~ ATTEST Ate. EC ARY
