06.11.1964 CC Minutes~i MINUTES OF THE KENNEDALE CITY COUNCZG JtJNE 11, 1964 The meeting was called to order by the Mayor B. T. 4tebb at 7:30 PM: The following members were found to be present: Councilmen Flake, 64inters, Helm, Vick and Hatton. No members were absent. The minutes of the regular meeting were read and approved: The minutes of the Special meeting were read and approved: Don Lyon came before the Council with a petition signed by a group of citizens who reside on the Sublett Road for better service. The group was assured the matter would 'be taken into consideration and at such time the condition could be improved it would be done. Additional bonds would need to be sold before the work could be done. 1. Councilman Winters made a motion to advertise the sale of the radio which has been used in 6layor Webb's truck and which is no longer of any need to the City. And to ask for bids on said radio. Motion seconded and carried . 2. Councilman Flaice made a motion to ask for bids on the sale of old pipe. hiotion seconded and carried. ~J 3. Mr. ,•.M. Honea had asked for a rezoning hearing on Lot 27 Blk 2 in the Woodlea Acres Addition. Councilman Vick made a motion to re0one the area Mr. Honea had requested. Councilman Winters seconded the motion. The motion was denied. 4. A motion was made by Councilman Flake to advise the citizens of 1Cennedale the City would mow the vacant lots for a minimum charge of $3.00 if the time taken to mow said lot was less than one hour. After one hour:the charge would be $5.00 per hour. Councilman Vick seconded the motion. Motion carried. 5. The following list of citizens were appointed to serve on a Park Board Paul 4~Vinters, Jim Moore, Donald Lyon, R. E. Flowers, Douglas Cooper, bir. ;a inters was to notify each member that he had been chosen. 316 6. The following list vas selected to act on a Zoning Commission and members of the Council were to contact these citizens and to ascertain if they would be willing to serve if appointed: R.E. Corcoran, Flomer Jeni<ins, Kenneth Bost, D. H. Curry W. J Capers. 7. Councilman l~Jinters made a motion to raise the salary of J.D.
