JANUARY 12, 1967
Mayor Webb called the meeting to order at 7:45 P. M. Council members
present were Cecil°Lyon, Bobby Vaughan,. John J. Biondi, Jr. and Don T.
Lyon. Mrs. Blissard~was absent.
1. Mr. Love inquired about placing a trailer on Shady Oaks Dr. in the
Hillda.le Addition, and was told that the area was restricted; allowing
no traiikrs or flat top houses, but to check with Mr. Couch the devel-
oper to see if the decision was final.
2. t•1r. James R. Fitts, Jr. was present to advocate using' the old Police
car as a second patrol and if necessary engage another patrolman to op-
°crate it. The Mayor assured him that before the automobile was sold
the council would give his suggestion careful consideration.
3. 61r. Young reported that he had done some three or four hours of re-
search on the preventior. of the waste disposal plant and_was ref erred
to the Regional Council of Governments and learned that mote could have
been done before the plant was established. He also felt that the City
had aided their project by furnishing then with water. The Mayor exp1-
aired that he and the Council members deemed it advisable to cooperate
rather tha:h create ill will as it might be necessary ro seek assistance
from the City of Fort Worth in'the future in regard to purchasing'water
from them.
4. The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved.

5. Mr. Marshall read a proposed Ordinance concerning the wrecker service.
Members of the Council agreed to wait until the next meeting to take any
action as there were one or two clauses under question.
h. After a lengthy discussion about our present oarbage service, Don T.
Lyon made the motion to have whatever steps our attorney deemed necess-
ary to inform Estes Service that we are displeased with their service
and to see if the franchise could be cancelled. Bobby Vaughan made the
second and ft was unanimously accepted.
7. Mr. Kirkpatrick asked the Counci.I to use their influence in having
the folks avail themselves of the se~oer service on Trent Street. The
h;ayor explair:ed that letters would be sent out waiving the tapping fee
provided they connected before the 90 day grace period was up. Mr.
Kirkpatrick asked the advice of the Council concerning Mr. Longs work-
ing before he had his Doctors relaease~ and was told to wait until af-
±er 44arch 31st to see what the doctor recommended. He also stated that
he would prefer putting Mr. Hail on straight salary, The Council did
not object and Don Lyon stated that he thought Mr. Kirkpatrick should
use his owr~ judgment in the matter.
8. John J. Biondi, Jr. made the motion to adjourn and Bobby Vaughan
made the second. The council adjourned at 10:40 P. M.
