RBGULAR MBBTING OF THE KBNNHDALB CITY COUNCIL
Oct. 10, 1968
Mayor Webb assembled the meeting at 7s45 P. M. Council members present were
teF. C. Kirkpatrick, Don Lyon, Charles Knotts, J. H. Martin, and H. -L. Hatton.
The minutes from the previous meetings were read and approved.
Kenneth Pearce came before the Council in regard to the wrecker service,
stating the Council had given him a 60 day trial basis on all pulls and
•since the time had expired and since Bobby Green has a wrecker, he thought it
should be fair for he and Bobby be put on rotation for all wrecker pulls.
Mr. Rogers asked the Council permission to continue his wrecker service.
Mr. Kirkpatrick made motion to have two wrecker list and have all P. D. pulls
stored-in the city limits of Kennedal a and b e on notation, also have a list
-for other pulls and also be on.rotation. Mr. Lyon 2nd motion. Mr. Hatton
voted aya-inst 4 fo~c one against, motion carried. The Council then asked
Mr. Marshall to amend Ordinance ~3 on wrecker pulls.
Mayor Webb advised the Council wer were going to lose two good men in the
Water Dept., advising them Mr. Hail bad t3xzen offered a better job-and asked
their opinion of raising Mr. Hail and Mr. Freeman salary. No action was
taken at this time. -
Mr. Marshall read Resolution 68.4, requesting the State Legislature to enact
legislation regulating above ground gasoline tanks. Mr. Lyon made motion to
adopt RBSOlution 88-~; Mr. Kirkpatrick 2nd motion; motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Marshall read Ordinance 68.7 Leving Taxes. Mr. Lyon made motion to adopt
Ordinance 68•'T. Mr. Knotts 2nd motion, motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Webb read letter from the Municipal Refuse Disposal Authority, stating
all maebers of the Southern Tarrant County Advisozy Board b e in good standing,
Mr. Lyon made motion fox the City of Kennedale to pay dues for the Southern
Tarrant. Advisory Board. Mr. Kirkpatrick 2nd motion, motion carri®d.~unanf•
mously.
Mr. Kirkpatrick made motion to adjourn, Mr. Knotts 2nd motion. Meeting ad-
journed at 9s30 P. M.
