SPECIAL DIEETING OF T[il/~ KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL
FBBRUARY '?2 , 1968
Mayor F~~~c-ton assembled the meeting st 7:40 P. M. Council members present were
H. L. Batton, Jim Moore, Bob Corcoran, John J. Biondi, Jr., with Don Lyon
being re only absentee.
Mayor Horton had been requested to ask the Council, i-f the City would haul and
spread the gravel for the School, the school will buy the gravel. Jim Moore
made motion the city haul and spread the gravel. Sob Corcoran 2nd motion,
motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Marshall tt;e City Attorney read a joint agreement for a landfield consis-
ting of 23 and one half acres, the total cost being $23,700.00. Each Munici-
pality pay $5,000.00. Jim Moore made motion the City pay their balance of ,
$4,500.00. Bob Corcoran 2nd motion, Jahn J. Biondi, Jr. voted against, 3 for
1 against, motion carried.
Mr. Marshall read Ordinance h8-1 for biding the hauling cif trash without a
protective cover, it must be covered with a 3/4 inch mesh. Hatton made motion
to approve the ordinance, ~~r. Moors and, motion carried unanimously.
6?r. Corrcoran made motion to pay hail's expense to co to school, Ji.m Moore 2nd
motion, motion carried.
Mr. Hatton asked about hiring another policeman on a 31 day trial basis to
determine if the police department could bring in enough revenue to pay their
salaries. Jim Moore made motion to hire the policeman, Bob Corcoran 2nd.
Motion carried unanimously.
Jim Moore made motion to install street lights on nocvman Springs Road and
Mistletoe, Paula Lane and Mistletoe, Magnclia and Mistletoe, Clover Lane
and Paula Lane, and Corner of the School. Main and Broadway and Kennedale
Community Center. Two (2) on Kennedale Little School Road, where it intersects
Kennedale Sublett Road, which it intersects 2 times. On on Susan Drive and
Linda Road in Gay Daughters.
Ivtr. Hatton made motion to adjourn, Jim Moore 2nd, meeting adjourned ~t 9:45 P. b1.
