REGULAR MEETING OF THE ICENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL
FEB. 8, 1968
Mayor Horton called the meeting to order at 8 O:Clock P. M. Council. memebers present
were H. L. Hatton, Bob C eoran, and John J. Biondi Jirn.Moaze and Don Lyon being
the two absentees,
W. T. Gentry appeared before the Council askeing permission to move two Mobil Iiomes
on the two lots in the <1.On block of 3rd st. he was advised of the specifications
required, he assured the Council he would meet the Ordinance. Mr. Hatton made motion
to grant him permission Mr. Biondi 2nd, motion carried unaniously.
l~trs, Bedzek came before the Council in regard to some auto parts he had moved into
City for a repair shop, without getting a permit. Mr. Marshall read him the
Ordinance pertaini.,~,g to this matter, after being told he would have to build a ten
foot solid board fence enclousre, Mayor Horton asked him if he could comply to th
Ordinance, he stated he had palnned to build a 6 foot hoard fence, but didn'nt
think he could comply to the Ordinance, but would like to leave his material he
already had moved in, until he could find another lor_a±ion. Mr. Hatton asked him
how long he thought he would need, he stated 30 or 45 days. Mr. I'iondi made motion
to grant him 45 days, Mr, Corcoran ?nd, motion carried unaniously.
Mr. Marshall .r.ead a joint agrrement of the Municipal Goverment participating in the
Landfill, which incldues Everman, Forest I-ii11, Crowley and possible Edgecliff, after
much discussion i`ir. Hatton made motion to join the other CitiQS in this project
Atr. COrcoran 2nd motion, Jahn Biondi voted agains, two for and one against.
Mayor Horton asked Mr. Marshall to transfer the deed of the Li. on Club 31dg, to
flit, I;ennedale Comi~jani.ty Cente:-.
bir. Marshall read Ordinance 68-1. relative to an Election bo held on Sat. April 6,
' 1968 for-the purpose of electing a Mayor for two year term, two concilmen for a
two year term a.nd two councilman for a one year term, being the expried terms of
Cecil W. Lyon and Wesley Horton from Councilman to Mayor. The Mayor shall appoint
a Presiding Judge, Asst presiding Juc?ge and the presiding Judge shall appoint two
Clerks to assist in said rl.ection. Mayor F-ioton thought i.t advi~abl.e to have the same
ones as they have had previous years. To C•:'it: Ida Flake presiding Judge, 'VEttie

?rr. Shockey appeared before the Council stating Chief Young had made a statment to
L. B. Smith, if he would look in the Shockey re~-i~?ence, he might find some of the

Clay House came before the Council as'<ing the City buy a Natinnal Code Fire book

Mr. Biondi made motion the City buy the books, Mr. C Orccran 2nd motion, motion
carried mnaniously.
