REGULAR MEETING OF THE KEIvT1EDALE CITY O(?UNCIL
January 8, 1969
Mayor Webb assembled the meeting at 7:55 P. bi. Council members present were
W. C. Kirkpatrick, Don Lyon, Charles Knotts, :7. H. bfartin, and H. L. Hatton.
The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved.
Marie Oliphint came before the Council, asking permission to build a small
grocery store and a two gas pump help your self filling station on her
property on Old Mansfield Highway =end Dick Price Road, s}-fe stated she would
have a small office t~uilding 10 X 20 and the gasoline tanks would be under-
. ground. Mr. Martin made motion, to grant her request. Mr. Hatton 2nd motion,
motion carried unanimously.
Mrs. Baker appeared before the Council asking perrnissi_on for the Mission
Gospel Church to rent the Kennedale Community Center on a full time basis.
Mayor Webb advised her didn't think they could, but would take it under
consideration.
Kenneth Pearce came before the Council in regard to wrecker service, stating
an out of town wrecker had been used within our City limits and thought.
should go by the Ordinance. Mr. Marshall advised the Chief any out of town
wreckers would have to have a permit from the City of Kennedale. Bobby Green
then asked if the dispatchers shouldn't advise aryane trying to contact him
where he could be reached, after he had checked out with the dispatchers.
He was advised they should.
Mr. Lyon suggested the wreckers get along with the Chief
to take them off the list. Mr. Lyon, then made a motion
wrecker, P•,r. Rogers, Mr. Pearce, and Mr. Green signed by
them if they had any complaints or problems to go to the

Mr. McMahon from Frank R. McMahan & Co. of Dallas was present and Mr.Marshall
read Ordinance 69-1 regarding the r.efundi.ng of water and sewer bonds, series
1960 and 1965. Mr. Hatton made motion we adopt Ordinance 69-1, Mr. I.l~or.
2nd motion, motion carried unanimously.
