Mr. Marshall the City Attorney read Ordinance 70-~ where the city of Kennedale will annt2~c 6 tracts of land in ±he David Strickland Survey. b;r. Charley Smith came b~=fore the ;.o u:.r,il, asking if i*_ would be possible for her to corn2ct on to the Kennedale Water system, as Interstate I-20 was going right in the middle of her house and well. She had talked with a Mr. Wilson and he too was sul;isosn to coma before the Council in reference to the water problem, she was adt>ised by the Council, she and Dlr. Wilson would have to be annexed to the City before they could get water, and suggested they both came to the next regular nteetittg. Mayor. Webb read letter the City Attorney had written Mr. Morrow an attorney for rtes Service Co. relative to the $25.00 check the City was still holding for a garbage permit. dir. Marshall read Ordinance '70-5 amending all prior ordinances of the City of Kennedale relating to charge for failure to timely pay fc-tr watt~r ~x.nd s4yw~r, the bill being due on the 10th and if not paid by the 20th, would be a 10"o penalty and if not paid witizir~ 'i0 days .vould disconnect and a charge ref $5.00 to re- connect. Also, the charge of cutting water off for other r~-asons such as re- pairs, etc. would be a charge of $2.00. Mr. Martin made motion to adopt Ordinanc~~'?0-5, Mr. Lyon 2nd motion, motion carried unanimously. Mayor Tn'ebb presented the Council with leasing agreement Lvith Charlie I3illard in reference of leasing a Police car. h1r. 3ulin suggested to 'table t'rtis matter until the next Council meeting. i-layor ~Aebb read the letter the City Attorney had written P4.R.D.y. t}:,± t1.2 City Council at their meeting March 12, 1970 adopted a motion to withdraw from the Municipal Refuse Disposal A;tthority, effective as of that date. The City of 1~ennedal.e requested a refund of the sum due them upon such withdrawal. Mayer t~debb read a proposal from Pats Jones Asphalt on repairs in Mistletoe Drive and repair all holes in the street down to Paula Lat~c, this would be 2" of asphalt and the cost being $920.OC. The Cuunci_i agreed to a.sk Pete to get some more bids on this project:.
