SPECZAL CALL MEETING OF THE KENNIDALE CITY COUNCIL
Nov. 23, 1971
Mayor Martin assembled the meeting at 7:00 P.M. Council m~nbers present were
Mrs. Inez Keathley, John J. Biondi, Jr., Marshall Tyson and B. J. Watson;
Bill Bishop being absent.
This meeting was called for the purpose of canvassing the Water and Sewer Bond
Election held on November 20, 1971. The Council carefully canvased the returns.
The Council finds and determines and declares that all four porpositions were
defeated by 32 votes. 262 votes being cast.
Mayor Martin said he had talked with the Chief of Police in reference to Thanks-
giving, Noliday. Mr. Biondi made motion those in the Police Dept. that works
an Thanksgiving get double pay. 2nd by Mr. Watson.
Mr. Martin advised the Council, Norman Burris was hired in at $130.00 per week
for 90 days with the understanding he would get a raise in 90 days; Mr. Watson
made motion to raise Mr. Burris to $150.00 per week, 2nd by Mr. Tyson. Motion
carried unanimously.
Mr. Watson made motion to adjourn, 2nd by Mrs. Keathley, meeting adjourned
at 8:15 P.M.
