08.26.1971 CC Minutes530 REGULAR MEETING OF THE KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 26, 1971 Mayor Martin assembled the meeting at 7:30 P. M. Council members present were John J. Biondi) Bill Bishop and B. J. Watson, Mrs. Keathley and Mr. Tyson being absent. . The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved. Pate Jone appeared before the Council asking permmission for 50 more spaces in his Mobil home park, making a total of 100 spaces. He presented a map of his trailer park, said he would make a water tap for each trailer, plus a meter deposit. Mr. Watson made motion to grant this request, 2nd by Mr. Bishop, motiong carried unaniously. Ralph Bell came before the Council asking them to re-zone some property he had bought in the Cannon survey; Stated wanted to build campers, Mr. Watson suggested to have the Planning board at our next meeting and would give him an answer at the next Council meeting. Bill Cromer came before the Council asking permission to move a mobile hom on his property on New Hope Road; saying all the neighbors had signed an agreement that is within 200 feet of the property. Mr. Biondi made motion to grant this request, 2nd by Mr. Bishop, motion carried unaniously.- Ray Swaney appeared before the Council saying he had made an agreement with the City That he would give them an easment and give right of way from the disposal plant to his residence, if the City would run water to his home if and when his well went dry; He feels he need the water now and would have to run water line about one mile. Mr. Biondi made motion if possible for the City to run this line to grant his request, 2nd by Mr. Watson motlon carried unaniously. The Council then interviewed several applicants for a bookkeeper and Tax Assessor and Collector. After reviewing the application the Council advised would have a meeting on August 31 and would inform them at this time. Mr. Knotts presented a platt of his subdivision, Mr. Marshall advised him would have to have a lawyer to draw up this dedication. Mr. Biondi made motion if it could legally be done to annex all property from 287 to // East of Arlington to Dick Price Road and west to Fort Worth City limits, suggested to v get land owners to petition for the annexation. 2nd by Mr. Bishop, carried unaniously. Mr. Burris asked the Council permission to buy two meters for the well from Trans-Tex Co. Mr. Watson made motion to grant this request, 2nd by Mr. Biondi, motion carried unaniously. The City Secretary asked permission to buy a calculator since the bookkeeper would be using the only one we have. Mr. Watson made motion to purchase this machine, 2nd by Mr. Biondi. motion carried unaniously. Mr. Watson made motion to adjourn, 2nd by Mr. Bishop, Meeting adjourned at 10:00 P. M. ATTEST: wel D.
