5 77 REGULAR MEETING OF THE KENNEDALE CITY COt~(CIL SEC. 28, 1972 THIS MEETING IS A CONTINUATI0~1 OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF DEC. 14, 6+I~iICH WAS ADJOURNED tAVTIL THIS DATE, DUE TO LACK OF A QUORUM. Mayor Childres assembled-the meeting at 7:35 P. M. Bro. Allen gave the invocation, roll was called, Council members present were Steve Radakovich, Mayor Childres, Stanley Jernigan and Bill Bishop. Mrs. Inez Roy and B. J. Watson being absent. The minutes from the previous meetings were read and approved. Bill Hester who had previously asked permission to move a bldg. in the City was pre- sent. Mayor Childres asked Mr. Hester when he would have to move the bldg. Mr. Hester replied probably week after next, but wasn't in any hurry, didn't think they would rush him as they had taken so much time in moving out. Mayor Childres asked Mr. Hester for a little more time to try and work something out, that the Council would meet with the Planning and Zoning board Dec. 4th. Kenneth Pearce came before the Council, stating the Police Dept. had gone to high band asked for a number, that he already had the transmiter, saying he felt this would give him better contact with the Police Dept. when they needed a wrecker. Chief Halverson said we had one base station and 4 mobile units, that he had re- fused a small city of going on our high band and he wanted one in his car. The Chief recommended this request not be granted. Kenneth then asked the Council the possibility of having a lift station on East Mansfield Hwy. as was several bldgs. being built and needed sewer very badly, stating he had talked with two other people and they and Kenneth would put up $1,000.00 each, Mr. Bell would just donate his $1,000.00 and could take his and probably Adams on water bill each month. That he had checked and it would take approximately $1,600.00 for a lift station and about 2,000.00 ft. of pipe at $1.15 per foot, which does not include labor. Mayor Childres asked Kenneth to let us get some estimates and make a study of it, and see the possibility of connecting ~ep~sie o1~1 the other side of the road. Mr. Radakovich said the line on the other side of road is 20 feet in depth and check on the gravity flow, and it is a poss- ibility of eleminating the left station. Mayor Childres talked with the Council of the many loose dogs in the City. Chief Halverson suggested to type a stencil and send each customer, then file on every one whose dog is running loose. Mr. Jernigan, said he thought could get the boy scouts to delivex the notice. Mr. Marshall read Ordinance 72-13, annexing James Arthur, 70.875 acres of land out of the Beedy and Rose survey. Mr. Bishop made motion to adopt Ordinance 72-13 2nd by Mr. Jernigan, motion carried unanimously. Paul Mathis read the minutes of the planning and zoning board as of Dec. ?th, in reference of re-zoning part of Franklin Wood Survey from A Residential to E Com- mercial and correct the zoned boundry in the J. M. Estes. The Council agreed to have a joint meeting with the zoning board on Jan. 4th. Mayor Childres read the resignation of B. J. Watson, he was resigning for very personal reasons. Mr. Radakovich made motion to accept the resignation 2nd by Mr. Bishop, motion carried unanimously. Mr. Marshall asked the Council if they wanted him to prepare a bail bond ordinance, as the Chief of Police had suggested. Mr. Radakovich made motion to draw up the ordinance, 2nd by Mr. Jernigan, motion carried unanimously. 578 REGULAR MEETING ©F THE KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL Dec. 28, 1972 - Continued.
