Mayor Childres assembled the meeting at 7:35 P. M. Nirs. Chubby Flake gave the invocation.
Roll was called, Council members present we're Mrs. Inez Roy, Steve Radakovich, Mayor
Childres, Stanley Jernigan, Bill Bishop and B. J. Watson.
The munutes from the previous meetings were read and approved.
Paul Mathis read the minutes of the planning board of Oct. 5th.
Mr. Fred Dielman came before the Council stating he had met with the planning and zoning
board and they recommended he come before the Council. He stated he had some property on
West Mansfield Hwy. he could sell, if the Council would consider another Mobile Home
Park as this property is adjacent to another mobile home park. After some discussion Mr.
Watson made motion to deny this request, 2nd by Mr. Jernigan, Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Marshall advised the Council he had talked with Frank McMahan and was told in order
to sell the bonds that was voted last election, would have to have one dollar for each
one hundred dollar evulation. Mr. Marshall then read Ordinance 72-11 leving taxes. One
dollar for a one hundred dollar valuation for the interest and sinking fund and general
obligation fund, and thirty five cents for each one hundred dollar valuation to the
general fund. Mr. Bishop made motion to adopt Ordinance 72-11, 2nd by Mr. Watson,
motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Marshall read Ordinance 72-12 amending portion of zoning Ordinance 69-5, defining
a Mobile Office Bldg. Mr. Watson made motion to adopt ordinance 72=.12, 2nd by Mr. Roy,
motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Mathis informed the Cou:acil the total City tax is sixty seven thousand, fi?v~e hundred
and thirty five dollars, and increase of four thousand, five hundred and thirty one
dollars: He also stated he had received a letter from Mr. Bogart of the E. E. A.,
that section 6 on an employee expires Oct. 31st, 1972 and section 5 on the other
employee expires Dec. 31, 1972. Mr. Childres recommended terminating one e.~ the Citys
employees giving he, and the employee working under E. E. A. Program two weeks notice.
The Council agreed to this recommendation.
Mayor Childres said he would like to designate a day or two in the near future for a
City clean up. Publish a notice in the Kennedale paper as to the date. And City truck
would pick up any article that was to large for the garbage men.
Mr. Watson made motion to adjourn, 2nd by Mrs.
