the meeting at 7:35 P.M. Roll was called, Council members pre-
Steve Radakovich, Mayor Children, Stanley Jernigan, Bill Bishop
Council their decision of Lone Star Gas Co, request of 5.4 gas
their plan. Mrs. Roy made motion. to grant this request, 2nd by
ch voted against four for one against motion carried.
Mayor Childres then opened the seal bids for the 1971 Plymouth police car. John J. Biondi
bid $525.00, Floyd Collins bid $537.76, Warder. Motors bid $626.00. Mr. Watson made motion
to accept the highest bid, 2nd by Mrs. 1Zcy, motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Malone and Mr. Filers who owns the Jemico Corporation appeared before the Council re-
questing permission for a 10 X 70 Custom built Mobile Office for office use only at 218
Valley Lane. Mr. Watson made motion to grant this request and it be placed on the tax
roll, 2nd by Mr. Rakakovich, motion carried unanimously. Mayor Childres asked Mr.
Marshall to amend the zoning ordinance permitting mobile offices in ir_dustrial and
commercial and render them for taxation. They also stated they had plans for expansion
in the future asked the Council to keep them in mind if they hear of approximately 5
acres near the railroad.
Mayor Childres informed the Council the planning and zoning board had requested far the
Council to adopt a uniform building and plumbing code and a national electric code. Mr.
Watson made mation to adopt these codes and rates be set at a later date. 2nd by Mr.
Bishop, motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Childres asked the Council their decision of the request of Kenneth Pearce to in-
stall. a 6 inch line. He stated i.t would take 1275 foot of pipe at $1.45 per foot and
to cross the hwy. $800.00 plus two fire plugs at $180.00 each, making a total of 3,208.00,
and for a two inch pipe, it would take 567 feet of pipe at 25 cents a foot, the cost be-
ing approximately $200.00, Mr. Watson made motion to install the 2 inch line, 2nd by Mr.
Radakovich, Mr. Jernigan voted against, four for one against mation carried.
Mr. Jernigan advised the Council he had received a letter for Mason Langford, County I~'ire
Marshall of their proposal of_ a county wide ambulance service after some discussion. Mr.
Jernigan recommended to answer the letter, advis;ng them it had been discussed, but want-
ed to study i.t further. y
