Mayor Childres assembled the meeting at 7:45 P.M. Roll was called, council members
present were Steve Radakovich, Mayor Childres, Stanley Jernigan, Bill Bishop and
B. J. Watson. Mrs. Inez Roy being the only absentee.
Mayor Childres said this meeting was called for the purpose of discussing munici-
pal charge on two trailer parks, Avalon Mobile Home Club and South 287 Trailer
Park. Mayor Childres had asked Mr. Radakovich to check the surrounding Cities;
which Mr. Radakovich stated he had checked with Mansfield, Forest Hill, Crowley,
Burleson and Arlington and basically speaking we charge less than the surrounding
Cities.
Mayor Childres entertained motion that W. M. Honea and Joe McKinley, who were
present, pay in full the delinquent municipal charge or the City would be forced
to notify the occupants that City services would be discontinued.
After a lengthy discussion, Mr. Radakovich made motion to draw up Resolution 72-11,
stating each obtain a mobile home park license for 1972, execute a note for the
amount of the delinquent charge without interest, paying $100.00 per month begin-
ning Oct. 1st, 1972, and to pay the current municipal charge regularly beginning
Sept.. 1, 1972, since the suit Honea and McKinley vs the City of Kennedale, and the
Judge ruled in favor of the City. 2nd by Mr. Jernigan, motion carried unanimously.
Calvin Hollifield appeared before the Council, stating he had a letter from the
City making remarks of his equipment, saying they were junk vehicles; he stated
some of them were not in running order, but were not junk; he felt every one should
be given a notice since there were others in the City. After talking with the
Mayor and Council, Mr. Hollifield agreed to clean his place up.

Mayor Childres advised the Council he thinks should pass an ordinance eliminating
moving any more houses or re-locating any in Kennedale. The Council agreed to
have Mr. Marshall draw up an ordinance to this effect.
The Council then discussed the purchasing of a new police car. The Council
told the Chief to use his own discreation since had gotten several bids. Mr.
Watson made motion to retain the old police car since they offered such low trade-
in. Mr. Jernigan 2nd, motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Watson made motion to adjourn, 2nd by Mr. Bishop; meeting adjourned at 9:20 P.M.
