11.15.1973 CC Minutes604 PUBLIC HEARING and SPECIAL MEETING of the KENNEDALE CITY CODICIL NOVEN~ER 15 , 1973 The meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. Council Members present were George Lowery, Steve Radakovich, Mayor Childres, Stanley Jern- igan, Bill Bishop and Lloyd Blanscet. Mr. Dan Griffith, representing Harvey Properties Co., and Mr. Mathis presented the Zoining Application Dockets that had been brought bsfore the Planning Board October 23, 1973 concerning request for zoining change from "A" residential to "C" Multi-Family per Docket 10-73-1 of Tract 2 C & 2 D in the T.F.Rogers survey. The Zoning Board had app- roved the change and recommended the council approve the applications. Mr. Mathis read portions of Ordinance 69-5 explaining what "C" Multi- Family would consist of. Mayor Childres asked for a motion, and recommended that the strip zon- ing be worded in the motion. Mr. Blanscet made the motion that we ac- cept the applications as presented, with the exception of a 50' open space set back on Docket 10-73-3 only. Mr. Bishop seconded the motion. Mr. Jernigan opposed, all others voted yes, then Mr. Radakovich chan- ged his vote to no. The motion carried. The Public Hearing ended at 8:40 P.M. and the Special Hearing began. Mayor Childres advised the council that he had talked with Mr. Haley about his garbage bid. Mayor Childres maintained a motion that we of- fer Mr. Haley $2.30 per residential pickup, with no provisions and that Mr. Marshall prepare a resolution for the City to raise our rates from $2.00 per month to $2.50 , effective January 1, 1974. This would be a two (2) year contract. Mr. Radakovich made the motion, seconded by Mr. Lowery. The vote carried unanimously. Mayor Childres advised the council that the white truck, used by the water department has worn out. He recommended we move some money from the revenue sharing fund into Capitml Improvement Fund to buy a cal- culator, and a new 6 cylinder Chevrolet Pickup. Mayor Childres main- tained a motion to revise the revenue sharing fund. Mr Radakovich made the motion to revise the revenue sharing fund to be used to buy a calculator,;,pickup and police car. Mr. Lowery seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. The council agreed to buy the Fire Department Equipment and pay cash for our part of it, and therefore save $160.00. Mayor Childres maintained motion to adjourn. Mr. Bishop made the mo- tion, seconded by Mr. Lowery. The meeting adjourned at 9:10 P.M.
