REGULAR MEETING OF THE KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL
September 9, 1976
Mayor Radakovich assembled the meeting at 7s30 P.M. Mr. Clyde Marshall
gave the invocation. Council members present were George Lowery, Clara
Sanderson, Mayor Radakovich, Bill Bishop, and Pat Turner. Mr. Jernigan
was absent.
The minutes of the August 12, 1976 Regular Meeting and the Special Meet-
ing August 31, 1976 were approved.
Mr. Lowery made a motion to pay Periodical Estimate #5 in the amount of
$36,361.98 to Leonard Hazel, seconded by Mrs. Sanderson. The motion
carried unanimously.
Mayor Radakovich read Resolution #76-18, the commendation of Darrell L.
Folmar, arri recommended this Resolution be adopted. Mr. Turner made a
motion to adopt Resolution #76-18, seconded by Mr. Lowery. The motion
carried unanimously. Mr. Radakovich then presented the Resolution to
Darrell. Paul Mathis took a picture of the presentation far the Kennedale
News .
Item #2, consederation of Third Year Community Development Application,
was tabled until the next meeting.
The Joint Resolution #76-19 concerning the agreement with Arlington was
presented for approval by the council. Mr. Turner recommended we study
this further. Mr. Marshall answered his questions about the map. Mayor
Radakovich entertained a motion to accept Resolution #76-19. Mr. Pat
Turner made the motion to adopt Resolution # 76-19, seconded by Mr. Bill
Bishop. The motion carried unanimously.
The Financial reports were discussed at length. The Fire Department
Liability Insurance amounted to $844.00. Mayor Radakovich made a motion
to pay this out of the 5~ tax income the City has approved for the Fire
Department. Mr. Turner made a motion to reimburse $844.00 to the General
Fund from the 5~ tax income fund. Mrs. Sanderson seconded the motion.
The motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Lowery made a motion to raise the speed limit on Kennedale Sublett
Road, from the corner of the Hardin property to Frank Bedford's, to 45
miles per hour to be effective September 10, 1976. Mr. Turner seconded
the motion. Mr. Turner, Mrs. Sanderson and Mr. Lowery voted yes, Mr.
Bishop voted no. The motion carried.
Mayor Radakovich entertained a motion to have Jack Yates write a letter
to FCC (Federal Communication Commission) requesting they monitor the
CB Base Stations located in Kennedale. Mr. Sanderson made a motion to
give Jack Yates authority to write the letter to FCC, seconded by Mr.
Lowery. The motion carried unanimously.

Mayor Radakovich read a letter from Chief Halverson giving his preferences
on a Police Car. The council wasn't in favor of making a decision at this
time.
Mr. Lowery made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Sanderson seconded the motion.
The motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
