SPECIAL MEETING OF THE KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL
November 17, 1977
Mayor Radakovich assembled the meeting at 7:30 P. M.

Mayor Radakovich declared the special meeting be adjourned for an
executive session to discuss personnel and salaries. At 10:35 P. M.
the executive meeting was adjourned and the special meeting began.
Pat Turner made a motion to give the following salary increases
effective November 15, 1977, seconded by George Lowery. The motion
carried with none opposed.

Amendments to the personnel rules were discussed. Removal of the rule
stating, that employees be hired at $10.00 less per week than the min-
imum for their classification for their first thirty days, was approved.
However, the council instructed that a weeks salary be wit'~held for
new employees. Providing that vacation time can be accumulated for
three years or twenty days, whichever is the lesser, was approved. An
alteration in holiday pay eligibility providing employees may take off
the day before or after a holiday if the day is taken as a vacation
day and approved by the department head.
The council discussed the sewer charges briefly. This will be dis-
cussed at the next regular council meeting December 8, 1977.
Stanley Jernigan made a motion to adjourn. Clara Sanderson seconded
the motion. The motion carried with none opposed. The meeting
adjourned at 11:00 P. M.
