SPECIAL MEETING OF THE KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL
MARCH 5, 1977
Mayor Radakovich assembled the meeting at 9100 A.M. Members present
were George Lowery, Clara Sanderson, Mayor Radakovich, Stanley
Jernigan and Bill Bishop. Pat Turner was absent.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss sewer, water and utilities
for Phase III and IV.
Mr. Hensley, Tarrant County Planning and Management, Mr. Bob
Nichols and Mike Morrison with Freese and Nichols were present.
Mr. Hensley advised the council of the water grant from H.U.D.
and the way it should be used. He recommended we use the money
available for water before July 1, 1977. This money must be used
for present needs and cannot be used to service new development.
Mr. Hensley recommended we get the water easements before July 1,
1977. using what portion of the $ 40,000.00 grant to obtain these that
is needed. He said July 1, 1977 is the new H.U.D. funding date.
Jack Yates and Freese and Nichols displayed a map showing the proposed
plan for the $ 91,000.00 water grant that should best suit the
current years need on Mansfield Highway. Bill Bishop made a motion
to adopt this plan for line one, line two, line eight, and seven
fire hydrants which were located on the map. George Lowery seconded
the motion. The motion carried with none opposed.
Bob Nichols and Mike Morrison recommended we get our financial
situations, concerning our bonds, worked out before making a
decision on a sewer extension plan. Bob Nichols, Mike Morrison,
and Mr. Hensley left at 9:53 A.M.
The council held a general discussion about a number of things
concerning the community. These things were not on the agenda,
therefore no decisions were made.
One of the council members gave Mayor Radakovich a note suggesting
that Evelyn Templeton be paid overtime for the Saturday (Special)
meetings. Mayor Radakovich and the other council members agreed
to this.
Stanley Jernigan made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Bill Bishop.
The motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 10:56 A.M.
