PUBLIC HEARI~?G KENNEDALE CITY COUrdCIL
March 2, 1881
Mayor Steve Radakovich assembled the meeting at 7:00 P. M.
Members present were Mayor Steve Radakovich, Mayor Pro-Tem
Clara Sanderson, Councilmen George Lowery, Wayne Winters,
Charles Kuykendall and Dwight Miller.
Staff present were Mel Justice, Joe Hopper and Tyne Reflogal.
Mayor Radakovich explained the purpose of the Public Hearing
was to receive citizen input for the 1881-82 Budget.
Jim Smith was the only citizen present and he declined comment.
Council discussed the proposed budget and no additional changes
were recommended.
Mayor Radakovich recommended the Council consider reimbursing
the Ambulance personnel $3.00 per call for travel expenses.
Wayne Winters recommended the Building Official and the Fire
Chief study the Building Code and the Fire Code to ascertain
if the codes require windows in buildings in the City of
Kennedale to be large enough to serve as a means of escape in
an emergency.
It was the consensus of the Council that the employee annual
salary review would be conducted by the Department Heads in
April each year and the Council would no longer review salaries
in October each year.
Council discussed the ambulance shelter and agreed that the
City would advertise for bids in the Kennedale News March 3, 1881.
Charles Kuykendall made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Clara
Sanderson. Motion carried with none opposed.
Meeting adjourned at 7:40 P. M.
