PUBLIC HEARING 7th YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUNDS
KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL
September 11, 1980
Mayor Steve Radakovich assembled the meeting at 7:33 P. M.
Members present were Mayor Steve Radakovich, Mayor Pro-Tem
Clara Sanderson, Councilmen, George Lowery, Wayne Winters,
Charles Kuykendall and Dwight Miller.
Staff present were Mel Justice, Clyde Marshall, and Tyne
Reflogal.
Mayor Radakovich read the Summary Statement for Public Hearings
for Tarrant County Housing and Community Development Block Grant
Program. See attached:
Mayor Radakovich explained to the audience that this project
is a continuation of the Community Development Block Grant
Program. and since 1976 the City of Kennedale has received
approximately $100,000 per year to be used for water facilities
and the Community Center,
Mayor Radakovich read the list of recommended projects to be
considered and asked for citizen comments. List reads as
follows:

A. Fourth Street from New Hope to North Road 6" main (water)
B. Fifth Street from New Hope to North Road 6" main (water)
C. Loop on North Road from Third street to Broadway 6" (water)
D. Valves & Fire Hydrants on New Hope from 287 to RR 6" (water)
E. Valves & Fire Hydrants on Broadway from New Hope to Averett
6" (water)
F. Fourth Street from New Hope to-North Road (street)
G. Fifth Street from New Hope to North Road (street)
H. Broadway from New Hope to North Road (street)
I. Various Park Improvements (playground equipment, etc.)
J. Third Street from 287 to North Road (street)
K. Kenney Street from Third Street to Broadway (street)
L. Sulphur Street from Third Street to Broadway (street)
M. Chitwood from Third Street to Broadway (street)
N. Main Street from Third Street to Broadway (street)
Raymond Morris appeared before Council on behalf of the Planning
and Zoning Board and the Chamber of Commerce to volunteer their
assistance in obtaining a water well if Council deems it necessary
to ask the Citizens to pass a bond issue. Mr. Morris further
stated the four wells we now have were designed for 600 customers
and is presently supplying 973.

Wayne Winters said the Council will do its best to have cost
estimates, recommendations and alternatives concerning a new
water well in January 1981.
Dwight Miller made a motion to adjourn, seconded by George
Lowery. Motion carried with none op~osed.
