06.18.1980 CC MinutesPage 955 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL June 18, 1980 Mayor Radakovich assembled the meeting at 8:30 A. M. Members present were Mayor Steve Radakovich, Mayor Pro-Tem Clara Sanderson, Councilmembers Charles Kuykendall, Wayne Winters and George Lowery. Raymond Morris, President of Planning and Zoning Board was present and staff was Mel Justice. Mayor Radakovich explained the purpose of the meeting was to arrive at a recommendation for the use of the four acres of Kennedale land included in the Indian Woods Addition, off Little School Road. After lengthy discussion of all aspects of the project it was moved by George Lowery, seconded by Wayne Winters that the City of Kennedale present the following stipulations to Carter & Burgess, Engineers for their consideration and presentation to the City of Arlington: a. The City of Arlington to furnish water and sewer facilities to the area in Kennedale with the City of Kennedale to take care of metering the water and sewer of these homes and do the billing and collecting and the City of Arlington to charge the City of Kennedale bulk rates on the water and sewer. b. The City of Arlington to agree, in writing, to furnish water and sewer facilities to the Harvey Properties in Kennedale City Limits to the north of the four acre site, under the same conditions contained in a. above, at the time the Harvey Properties are developed. c. The street in Indian Woods Addition within the City Limits of Kennedale to be of concrete construction. d. Any sign at the Little School Road entrance to Indian Woods Addition to be of maintenance free construction. e. The street within Kennedale in the Indian Woods Addition to be maintained by the City of Arlington and the City of Arlington to maintain Little School Road from the street entrance into Indian Wood Addition to the free- way feeder road. f. A 50'width street cut, a continuation of Mescalero Court, to be made by the developer, through what is listed on the plat as Block 3, Lot 8 of subject plat, to the extra territorial jurisdiction line of Kennedale to the south. The Council instructed Mel Justice to meet with Bart Bradford, Carter & Burgess representative, and present the above to him for necessary action. Motion made by Charles Kuykendall, seconded by Clara Sanderson that the Council adjoin at 1 :20 A. M. Motion carried.
