I. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman David Deaver called the meeting to order at 7:OOpm
II. ROLL CALL
Present: Phil Wallace, Jeff Nevarez, David Deaver, Michael Chandler, Gary Swan Absent: Josh Hayes
III. MINUTES APPROVAL
Consider approval of minutes from May 2, 2018 regular meeting. Motion to Approve May 2,
2018 minutes Action: Approve. Moved By: Michael Chandler, Seconded: Gary Swan Motion

IV. VISITOR/CITIZENS FORUM
A. Kenneth Michaels addressing the Board with Park concerns
1. The foot bridge at Sonora Park is broken
2. The mowing service that the City just contracted with is horrible, they did not cut level or
weed eat
3. The 911 Memorial needs to be sealed and letters need to be redone. Mr. Michaels offered
to repair the re -lettering if the City will incur the cost of materials. Phil Wallace stated it
needs to be resurfaced also. Mr. Michaels will research the best idea and it will be at the
next Park Board meeting on August 1, 2018.
V. REGULAR ITEMS
A. Consider approval of Cancelation of July 4, 2018 regular meeting. Motion to:

B. Clay Yeary brought a design presented design and cost $250.00. Consider of
approval of Clay Yeary's design and cost of Eagle Scout Information sign. Motion to:

VI. REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. New benches and trash cans have been ordered and are in route for delivery
2. The Boy Scouts Day camp was a success
3. Wood fiber will be installed in the next few weeks. City staff if is looking into adding
accessories to the Firemen's Park.
4. Restriping has been done on the half basketball court at Rodgers Farm Park
•
5. Gloria Rangel has put in her notice to separate from the City as of June 29, 2018
6. Ramp has been requested from the Senior Living Center to Sonora Park
7. The baseball field repair over the next few years, and have the Park Board go before the
council to get funding for all the repair.
8. Park broad suggest next Eagle Scout project be covering the dug out and stands area at
Kennedale ball park.
