I. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Michael Chandler called the meeting to order at 6:OOpm

Consider approval of minutes from February 13, 2018 regular meeting. Motion to: Approve
February 13, 2018 minutes Action: Approve. Moved By: Vinita Thomas, Seconded: Laurie

"' IV. VISITOR/CITIZENS FORUM
V. REGULAR ITEMS
A. April 21s' Texas Trash Off Clean up The Boy Scouts, the Rotary and the Green Club
will be coming. Jason Rivers would like us to pick up trash in his neighborhood
(trailer park) and he would be the Team Leader to show his neighbors how to keep
up and keep the neighborhood clean. City staff will verify clean team items in closet
at City Hall this next week.
B. We need a date for the demonstration garden work day will be scheduled at the next
meeting
C. The naming of "The Rock" at the Butterfly Garden will be finalized at the Library
Reading kick off the first of June Amanda the librarian said we could officially name
the rock while there are so many people there. A resident has a huge rock about the
same size to add to the garden and name it Cokers rock.
D. The Butterfly Garden needs some maintenance, more mulch for sure. City Staff will
get a palette of mulch.
Consider approval to have City staff spend money on a palette of mulch. Motion to:
Approve to have City staff buy a palette of mulch for maintenance of gardens

E. May 8, 2018 Educational Day, will be confirmed and discussed at the next month's
meeting
F. Sizes taken for KKB hoodies
VI. REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
A. Simple Recycling: 1,0251b collected
B. Simple Recycling: The Liter Lady will be standing right beside the Mission Store sign
beginning tomorrow with Simple Recycling bags to let everyone know who brings
recycled items that if the item is gently used then donate them to the Mission Store if not
then put them in the orange bags and let the Simple Recycle truck pick it up from your
curb.
