Item ~~ 4- Adoption of the 1984 Electrical Code
Item ~~ 5- Release of Right of Way
Item ~~ 6- Approval of Final Plat For Stop-N-Go at the Corner of Little School Road
And Treepoint Drive
Motion by Jerry Mitchell, seconded by Richard Bennett to accept all Consent
Agenda items as submitted. Motion carried unanimously.
Old Business
Item ~~ 7- Action on the First Public Hearing for Southern Properties, Request For
Annexation.
Motion by Richard Bennett, seconded by Jerry Mitchell to accept annexation of 2.9
arces of land as described in the Public hearings. Motion carried unanimously.
Item ~k 8- Action on Second Public Hearing for Southern Properties, Request for
Zoning Change.
Motion by Richard Bennett and seconded by Jerry Mitchell to approve the zoning
change request from "A" Single Family to "F" Commerical. Motion carried
unanimously.
Item ~~ 9- Proposed Animal Control Ordinance
The consensus of the Council was that a work session be held on this matter to
discuss in further detail the contents of this proposed ordinance. Council
agreed to hold this work session on August 1, 1985 at 7:30Pm.
New Business
Item ~k10- Request for Variance to Enlarge Avalon Mobile Home Park
Mr. Troy Spears made a presentation to Council regarding his proposed project
to enlarge his park. Council seemed to approve of this plan, but was advised
by le~al council that a Public Hearing must be held prior to approving this
with ~inal action.
Item ~~11- Cost of Sewer Tap for EPA Sewer Grant
During a public hearing on September 25, 1980 regarding extension of sewer lines
under an EPA Grant, citizens were briefed on costs to connect to the new sewer
lines. Now that construction is near, the need to set a sewer tap rate while
construction is occuring, has presented itself. The suggested rate is at $100.00
plus any street cut/boring as required.
On motion by Mark Wright and seconded by Richard Bennett, the rate of $100.00
plus any other charges as needed, was approved. Motion carried unanimously.
Addedum to Agenda:
Item ~~ 12- Mrs. Terry's Request for Variance to City Code to allow a mobile
home to be placed on a lot inside of City limits.
Discussion of this subject, legal council advised that this matter also needed
a public hearing prior to any action by Council. Council set the public
hearing for August 1, 1985 following the public hearing after the hearing
for the enlargementof Avalon Mobile Home Park.
Wioth no other business at hand, Motion to enter into Executive Session was
made byp Mark Wright and Seconded by Richard Bennett. Motion carried unanimously
at 8:53Pm.
Motion to reconvene into Open session was maded by Richard Bennett and seconded
by Jerry Mitchell. Motion carried unanimously at 9:12Pm.
Motion to adjourn the meeting made by Richard Bennett and seconded by Mark
Wright. Motion carried at 9:13Pm.
