CALL TO ORDER j Co-Chair Michael Chandler called the meeting to order at 7:00pm i II. ROLL CALL i Present: Jeff Nevarez, Dylan Black, Michael Chandler, Alan Pederson, Absent: Azam Shaikh, David Deaver, Glenn Shark III. MINUTES APPROVAL Consider approval of minutes from March 2, 2016 regular meeting. Motion to: Approve March 2, 2016 minutes with changes Action: Approve. Moved By: Jeff Nevarez, Seconded: Dylan Black Motion Passed Unanimously IV. VISITOR/CITIZENS FORUM f V. REGULAR ITEMS A. Public Hearing for Park Master Plan The Park Board recommends the City Council approve the Park Master Plan Motion to: Approve Park Master Plan Action: Approve. Moved By: Jeff Nevarez, Seconded: Dylan Black Motion Passed Unanimously B. Discussion to lock gates at Kennedale ball fields as theft is a huge issue. City staff is working with the Kennedale Youth Association to block access as well as funding for this added security. The main idea is to have a lock for each field as well as restrooms with one main entrance open to the public where KYA would soon be able to charge to enter fields to help pay for maintenance. A lot of electrical and maintenance has been done to these fields in the last few weeks to help maintain and prevent theft of electricity. VI. REPORTSIANNOUNCEMENTS A. Brickworks Festival is scheduled for April 15"' 16`h and 17 1' at Town Center Park, volunteers are appreciated. Kid Fish is May 21, 2016 Sam— 12pm, Bark in the Park will be 10am —2pm, City staff will be preparing the area for additional parking as Bark In the Park will be moved from the pavilion to the front end open area of the park instead. National Kids in Park day is to get kids to go to the park, be active and to get more money budgeted for more outdoor activities C. Bloxom Park—the county should be done paving early next week and will move to True Gunn to begin repaving the entire street D. Facility, hopefully underway close to the end of this month E. Sidewalk Project early next week the F. The Street department has been out taking care of trees, mulching and trimming them along the Parkway G.
