REGULAR MEETING
May 5, 2015

REGULAR SESSION - 4:30 PM
I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Ashley Luu called the meeting to order at 4:30PM.
II. ROLL CALL
Present: Ashley Luu, Emily Beck, Nadeya Patel, Nicholas (Cameron) Johnson, Danielle Quaye, Shelby
Flowers, Alison Villaire, Jillian Melbourne, Morgan Biscoe
Absent: Samantha Randolph
Staff Present: Leslie Galloway, City Secretary
III. REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
A. Discuss Logistics for the Food Truck Event.
The YAC finalized plans for the Food Truck night, and Ashley reported that Best Bayou Bites would
not be able to attend. The YAC discussed other possibilities for the event.
B. Discuss End-Of-Term Celebration on May 28.
The YAC held a discussion on a celebration of the 2014-2015 Youth Advisory Council term. The YAC
selected two restaurants, and Ashley stated that she would take a vote to reach a final decision.
IV. REGULAR ITEMS
A. Food Truck Night
The YAC discussed logistics for the upcoming food truck event. They decided that all
volunteers should arrive at 4 PM in order for the event to be successful.
B. Brickworks Festival
The YAC reviewed and evaluated the past Brickworks Festival event and discussed
improvements. They decided that a better location, a specific banner, and more specific
advertising would improve the quality of the event.

C. Interviews and Inductions
The YAC discussed a dress code for the interviews, as well as an attendance policy of present
and upcoming YAC members.
The first meeting of the 2015-2016 Youth Advisory Council was set for June 3rd, 2015 at 4:30
PM.
