CALL TO ORDER Chair Ashley Luu called the meeting to order at 4:48PM. II. ROLL CALL Present: Ashley Luu, Emily Beck, Nadeya Patel, Nicholas (Cameron) Johnson, Shelby Flowers, Jillian Melbourne, Samantha Randolph, Danielle Quaye, Morgan Biscoe Absent: Alison Villaire Staff Present: Leslie Galloway, staff liaison III. MINUTES APPROVAL IV. REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS There are no items for this section. V. REGULAR ITEMS A. Food Truck Event: Thursday, May 7th, from 5-8 PM. Ashley reported that three, possibly four, food trucks had agreed to come to the event. The YAC reviewed Simply Dosa and Bombay Chopstix, two Indian-style food trucks. Emily reported that she had received mostly negative results from her inquires to various food trucks. The other food truck that agreed to the event was "Bite My Biscuit". Additionally, Ashley announced that Best Bayou Bites would be able to come-after reviewing the menu, the YAC decided to invite them. The YAC noted that a special meeting would be necessary in order to finalize the event. The YAC also looked at the website for Cool Haus, a dessert truck. In order to make sure the event would run efficiently, the YAC scheduled a special meeting for Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at 4:30 PM. B. Finalize Craft Ideas for the Brickworks Festival: April 17 and 19t" Jillian reported that the YAC could create a giant bubbles station with a small pool, string, and coat 405 Municipal Drive, Kennedale, TX 76060 1 Telephone: 817-985-2100 1 Fax: 817-478-7169 hangers. Dani advocated for the God's Eye craft, a simple craft that only requires yarn and popsicle sticks. She additionally reported that flowers could be constructed from tissue paper. Shelby demonstrated possible paper plate umbrellas with popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners. The YAC discussed how to make paper towel animals. The final list included "pom-pom caterpillars", giant bubbles, God's Eyes, paper flowers, paper plate umbrellas, and fruit loop rainbows. C. Decide on Flowers for the Wildcat Way Roundabout. Mrs. Galloway reported that in order to plant flowers in the roundabout, the YAC would need to go through two separate boards of approval. Ashley announced that she had looked into purchasing flowers from the Kennedale High School PTA. The subject was tabled for a later date. Motion To Table the item. The YAC reviewed the applications and voted to recommend all of the applicants. Motion To Recommend the Applicants. Action Approve, Moved By Nicholas (Cameron) Johnson, Seconded By.
