Called to Order by Mayor Taylor at 7:15 P.m.

Public Hearing No. 1- Request for Variance by Mae Pennington at 1032-B Sublett Rd.
Mrs. Pennington made a presentation regarding her request to be allowed
to place a retirement home on her property. This would be similar to a room and
board, where each would have their own rooms and meals would be provided. They
would be free to come and go.
Several persons were present to speak against the proposed variance including
Mr. Gilley, Mr. & Mrs. Allen, Mr. Reid, Mr. Greenfield and Mr. Rutledge. These
persons all own property in the general area of the variance request. They all
spoke against the request stating that this area is "A" Single Family enviroment
and did not want that status to change. They spoke of the inceased activity by
the City of Arlington would change this area, uncontrolled by the City of Kennedale.
They also spoke of the water and sewer situation in that area.
With no other comments, Council continue to the next scheduled public hearing.
Public Hearing No. 2- Request for Annexation by Mr. Campbell for Tr. 31F01,
David Strickland Survey A1376 with a zoning request of "G" Industrial District.
No one present wished to speak either for or against the proposed annexation.
Motion to adjourn the public hearings made by Richard Bennett and seconded
by Pete~Ki~r~C,patrick. Motion carried unanimously at 7:52 Pm.
