Public Hearings - September 14, 1989

Mayor Steve Radakovich called the public hearings to order at 7:30 p.m.
Members present Caere Steve Radakovich, Bill Abbott, Pete Kirkpatrick,
Jerry Mitchell, Robert Mundy, and Mark Wright.
Gary Cooper gave the invocation.
Public Hearing No. 1
The purpose of the hearing was to receive citizens comments regarding the
proposed budget for Fiscal Year 1989-90.
Gary Cooper and Dorothy Garrett registered on the sign-in sheet. Gary Cooper
asked the Mayor to review the proposed budget.
The Mayor read aloud the 1989/1990 Budget Summaries which included budget
recaps, fund balance positions, capital expenditure recaps for the General,
Water, Ambulance and Debt Service Funds, and the designation of funds.
Gary Cooper asked if the $41,000 budget for Permits/Inspection Division
included a new inspector. The budget has one office clerical position
in the budget.
No citizens spoke for or against the proposed budget.
Public Hearing No. 2
The purpose of the hearing was to receive citizens comments regarding the
proposed tax rate of $0.3575 per $100 of value.
Gary Cooper and Dorothy Garrett registered on the sign-in sheet.
Mrs. Garrett commented that the tax rate didn't seem that bad.
Gary Cooper commented that the tax rate didn't seem out of line.
No other citizens spoke for or against the proposed tax rate.
There being no further business, motion was made by Bill Abbott, seconded
by Pete Kirkpatrick, to adjourn the public hearing at 7:56 p.m. Motion
carried unanimously.
