Special Meeting - March 30, 1989

Mayor Steve Radakovich called the meeting to order at 7:39 p.m.
Members present were Steve Radakovich, Bill Abbott, Pete Kirkpatrick,
Jerry Mitchell, John Mallory and Mark Wright.
ITEM NO. 1 - Order Election for Bingo.
Council received a certification deeming the Bingo petition valid which
stated that 66 were qualified voters and 38 were disqualified voters; a
total of 104 persons signed the petition.
Motion was made by Jerry Mitchell, seconded by Pete Kirkpatrick, to order
an election for May 6, 1989 and include the bingo proposition on the general
election ballot. Motion carried unanimously.
ITEM NO. 2 - Award of Bids for the Police Facility.
Mike McCarty, Architect, informed Council that there were four bidders on
the project; Inform Construction, S.D. Peterson Construction, Speed Fab-
Crete and Tritech. Each were present, except Inform Construction, to submit
their proposals to Council. The following is an outline of the bids and
alternates that were discussed:

Council interviewed the bidders separately to discuss alternates, designs
and materials. The bidders went into great detail to explain their proposals
on the design and build project.
It was the consensus of the Council to schedule a work session to further
discuss the bids.
After a lengthy discussion, motion was made by Bill Abbott, seconded by
Mark Wright, to table this item. Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business, motion was made by Mark Wright, seconded
by Bill Abbott, to adjourn the meeting at 11:10 p.m. Motion carried.
