KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING - SEPTEMBER 25, 1990
COMMUNITY CENTER - 7:30 PM
Mayor Steve Radakovich called the special meeting to order at
7 : 32 PM.
Members present were mayor Steve Radakovich, Mark Wright, Robert
Mundy, Pete Kirkpatrick, and George Roberts. Tom Boone arrived
at 8:20 PM.
Staff in attendance were Ted Rowe, Linda Jones, David Geeslin and
Vicki Thompson.
Motion by Robert Mundy, second by Pete Kirkpatrick, to enter into
executive session at 7:33 PM. Motion passed unanimously.

ITEM NO. 6 - Personnel - Budget Impact on Senior Staff

No action was taken on this item by the Council.
Motion by Pete Kirkpatrick, second by George Roberts to reconvene
into open session at 8:35 PM. Motion carried without opposition.

ITEM HO. 1 - Adopt Budget FY 1990-91.
Mayor Radakovich stated that the proposed budget was amended to
add 515,000 to the General Fund and 53,000 to the Water Fund for
merit raises to be distributed by the City Administrator.
Motion by George Roberts, second by Robert Mundy to adopt the
1990-91 budget in the following amounts (1) General Fund -
51,313,725 (2) Water Fund - 5753,446 (3> Ambulance Fund -
520,360. Roberts, Mundy, Kirkpatrick and Boone voted aye.
Wright voted nay. Motion passed. (Ordinance 90-06)
ITEM KO. 2 - Adopt 1990 Tax Rate.
Motion by George Roberts, second by Tom Boone to adopt 50.36567
for the purpose of maintenance and operation and 50.03423 for the
purpose of interest and sinking on bonds, total of 50.3999 per
5100 value. Roberts, Boone and Mundy voted aye. Wright and
Kirkpatrick voted nay. Motion carried. (Ordinance 90-07>
ITEM K0. 3 - Adopt 1990 Tax Roll.
Robert Mundy made a motion to approve the 1990 Tax Roll, second
by Pete Kirkpatrick. Motion carried unanimously.
ITEM HO. 4 - Renewal of Health Inspection Contract with
Tarrant County Health Department.
Mark Wright questioned the inspection fees. He was informed that
thee were two different types of inspections costing 5150 and
5100 which are set by the Commissions Court. However, the
Commissions Court could not adopt a fee over 5150 for an
inspection.

Robert Mundy was informed that the definition for a public
swimming pool was acceptable.
Motion by Robert Mundy, second by Mark Wright to renew the health
inspection contract with Tarrant County Health Department
commencing October 1, 1990 and ending September 30, 1990. Motion
passed unanimously.
ITEM KO. 5 - General Discussion.
Mark Wright requested a commitment from Council to construct
restrooms at the city ballpark. Mayor Radakovich stated that a
perk test among other items had to be worked out before the
project could commence.
Motion by Pete Kirkpatrick to adjourn at 8:55 PM., second by Mark
Wright and passed unanimously.
