KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL
REGULAR MEETING - JANUARY 11, 1990
COMMUNITY CENTER
Mayor Steve Radakovich called the meeting or order at 7:50 PM.
Members present were Steve Radakovich, Bill Abbott, Pete
Kirkpatrick, Robert Mundy and Mark Wright. Jerry Mitchell was
absent.
ITEM NO. 1 - Approval of minutes of a public hearing and
regular meeting dated December 14, 1989.
Bill Abbott requested that the minutes dated December 14, 1989 be
amended as follows: (1) Page 1671 paragraph 4 - remove "Mayor
Radakovich removed items 5 and 6 from the consent agenda", and
(2) Page 1671 paragraph 4 - add "Robert Mundy removed item 5 and
Bill Abbott removed item 6 from the consent agenda."
Mayor Radakovich stated that the minutes would stand approved as
corrected.
ITEM HO. 2 - Approval of Easement and Right-of-Way to
T.U. Electric Service.
T. U. Electric Service Company has requested a utility easement
and right-of-way on the new well site located behind Harris
Graphics Corporation for the purpose of placing an electric pole
and guide wire.

Motion was made by Pete Kirkpatrick, seconded by Mark Wright, to
approve the utility easement and right-of-way on a 1.69 acre
' tract deeded to the city located in the HEC of Lot 1, Block 1,
Harris Corporation Addition. Motion carried unanimously.
ITEM HO. 3 - Possible Participation in the Tarrant County
Utility Coordination Council (TCUCC) and Adoption
of TCUCC Standardization Policy.
Mark Wright made a motion, seconded by Robert Mundy, to table
item 3. Motion passed unanimously.
ITEM KO. 4 - Renewal of Health Inspection Contract with
Tarrant Countyy Health Department and amendment to
Ordinance 89-1.
Mr. Larry Prine of the Tarrant County Health Department (TCHD)
explained that the current food permit fees are 5100 for food
service and retail establishments and 525 for temporary
establishments. However, the Commissioner's Court adopted new
fees, increasing food service and retail businesses that prepare
food to 5150. Retail establishments that do not prepare food
remain at 5100. Temporary fees were increased to 535. Kennedale
has a total of 18 permits. A few insect and some food
temperature problems have been detected, but overall Kennedale is
in good shape. If there is a violation, the establishment may be
reinspected anywhere from 24 hours to two weeks depending on the
violation.
Robert Mundy made a motion to renew the Tarrant County Health
Department contract for food establishment inspections for the
period of January 11, 1990 to September 30, 1990, seconded by
Bill Abbott. Motion passed unanimously.

Mark Wright made a motion to amend Ordinance 89-1 to increase
food permit fees as outlined above, seconded by Robert Mundy.
Motion carried without opposition.
Ted Rowe announced the the Police Department was having open
house from 1 :00 to 3:00 PM. , Saturday, January 13, 1990.
There being no further business, motion was made by Robert Mundy,
seconded by Mark Wright to adjourn at 8:00 PM. Motion carried
unanimously.
