Mayor Abbott :atateci that the system gives the city one thing tha'~
we can't get anywhere else and that is the c:,annel.~ that ac+~ua~.l}~
operate tY~e radios. Daviz3 Geeslin confirmed the Mayor's
statement. Geeslin stated that it'<v not a situation where public:
~•afety or city government cyan buy a CB radio and put it in tha
car. If you go to a CB type system, that means everybody can be
on it and they ~_an interrupt you at will. This is not a situation
where you can rase the present antenna to main coverage. ':'hat
wf~zxld work to ar, ~=:~:tent, but it does• not solve t:te problem. We
are still limited to one channel here and one channel t`~,ere end
the FCC will. not allow the height of the antenna to be raised.

channels, and 4.0m(d talk group) per 5 channels and is a 20 year
system.
navid Geeslin has run a test on the radio system and .it has proven
itself.
F:oF,ert. Mundy stated that the aqr~=ement did not address a situation
wI'sc-ire at a later day, Gi~ty of Fort Worth decides to upgrade the
.system, whn is responsible :for paying for the upgrade.
I-~obert Mundy moved that the City of ICennedale :ign the voice raclio
