02.15.2000 EDC Minutes92 MINUTES OF KENNEDALE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING — FEBRUARY 15, 2000 100 E. BROADWAY ST. — COMMUNITY CENTER Vice - President Mundy called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. Members present: Robert Mundy, Ron Kovach, Wayne Winters, Margaret Eichelberger, and Rob Morris. Nita Vaughn arrived at 8:18 p.m. Members absent: John Berry Staff present: Kathy Turner ITEM NO. 1— Consider approval of the minutes from the January 18, 2000 Regular Meeting of the E.D.C. Board of Directors. Margaret Eichelberger moved to approve the January 18, 2000 Regular Meeting minutes as they were submitted, seconded by Ron Kovach. Margaret Eichelberger, Ron Kovach, Robert Mundy, and Rob Morris voted aye with Wayne Winters abstaining due to absence of meeting. Motion carried. ITEM NO. 2 — Review of Financial Reports. Members reviewed the financial reports for the month of January 2000, and suggested that the budget be corrected to reflect the actual budgeted amount of $200,000.00 for functional improvements, and $40,000.00 for visual improvements less grant monies awarded, which would then reflect an actual balance of $170,000.00 for functional improvements, and $33,266.01 for visual improvements. ITEM NO. 3 — Discussion on future projects. Members were provided copies of the proposed Comprehensive Thoroughfare and Land Use Plan for review. It was felt that a review of the plan would be beneficial prior to making any recommendation on future projects. ITEM NO. 4 — Staff comments: In addition to matters specifically listed below, staff comments may include updates on ongoing or proposed projects related to their develop- ment and may address posted agenda items. Ecomomic Development Director, Margaret Eichelberger presented samples of letterhead for board members to review that included the new city logo. She also briefed members on grant application inquiries. Discussion then followed with advertisement of the grant program. Ron Kovach motioned to adjourn the meeting at 9:17 p.m., seconded by Robert Mundy. Motion carried. ATTEST: City Secretary
