"fir. Bil_1 Liress stated that a lot of times people come before a
ta.~:ing body and complain about what the city is not doing. A lat
of times when people do that, they have to put up or shut up<
Daniel Ortiz hav resigned from the school board and he has
requested the board to consider him as a candidate to be a
replacement for him. Mr. Gress thaught that Heidelberg Harris and
,ersonally he feels that besides asking and talking, it: is
appropriate to be a part of the community and try to make a
r~ifference in the community. The requevt i<.:,• not for Heidelberg
Harris to get involved with politics or wanting to make a change

Mayor Abbott announced that the vote on the tax rate is scheduled
for September 22. 1992, 7:25 pm., at the Community Center. Also
the budget will be considered that night.
The public hearings adjourned at 7:25 YM.
